Ricky's Apollo Beach

JUST NO. I 'm sorry if the business sees this and it hurts but this place is horrendous. First off if you have ever seen Bar Rescue on TV this place would qualify as one that needs saving. The second we walked in the place was empty and just felt like I was in an old pool hall or a veterans moose lodge. The server took forever to come over even though we had already asked if we seat ourselves. Second the server took our order (fish and chips, wings and a grilled fish sandwich) and after about 45 mins still no food. I asked for water and vodka soda. Got the vodka soda but no water. The server then Approaches and apologizes as the food was put under the wrong server. Not sure what that would have to do with food timeliness after another 5 minutes the manager approached and asked if we ordered and had to tell him what we got...wouldn 't she have it?! Fast forward we got the food and it was disgusting. The fish I got grilled was thrown on a sub roll.. like a hoagie. Instead of being on a traditional bun.. the fish was disgusting. It was still very wet and stringy. I decided not to eat it in fear of getting sick. The fries looked old and tasted old. My partner said his fried fish was not good. The wings actually had potential but they weren 't hot and legit just laid on a flat plate. Ultimately I cannot believe I paid $55 for legit, hands down some of the worst food I have ever had and I 'm not exaggerating. Like I was sitting there in disbelief. They took a beer and a vodka soda off to redeem themselves but still to pay $55 made me sick. So ultimately go elsewhere. I 'm surprised this place hasn 't gone under for real.

Awesome fish sandwich. Good burger. Cooked exactly as ordered. And the best perfectly fried onion rings.
