We stayed in Spiez during our 5-day visit to Switzerland and ate at this restaurant during one of the evenings. The restaurant's location is fantastic, as it sits directly on Lake Thun and next to Spiez Castle and the Lake Thun boat dock, As such, one can easily spend the day touring Lake Thun, then hop off of the ship and have dinner. The food was upscale Italian and was befiiting of the restaurants grand location. It has an extensive wine list of wines from Italy, Germany and Austria, and the staff was attentive but did not rush us through dinner.
We were again in Riviera, this time with friends, that were visiting us from DE, a group of 7 with a child, again a very warm and welcoming friendly staff, the owner himself was on the table checking if everything was ok, so as chef de service often on the table! Children's choices are good and our food was just great! Plates are very good presented, very good portion,price is fair for what you get, a very modern ambient with a very good,classy and elegant Italian style! Thank you once again for a great night, we will come back again! Promise!
Second time for lunch at this restaurant. The food was delicious both times and the service perfect. The waiters seem to be always rushing but provide excellent, relaxed and timely service when required. They obviously have the knack of appearing very busy but then slow down when serving or pouring is required - a clever way to provide service and we certainly appreciated it. We recommend this restaurant for it's location, the quality of the food and the excellent service.
We were there a little post 1.30pm so lunch was over. But got some superb Pizza with artichokes. The chef was kind enough to do a spaghetti too. Icecreams were yum. With bailleys! Would love to go back to try their full menu. We got a table by the lake. Couldn't get a better seat. Service was brilliant too. We were well taken care of.
