In search for a place for lunch, my wife and I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor, and were thrilled to have tried it. In addition, it is right around the corner from our place. We came in right about noon, and the restaurant was then empty. Half and hour later, it was practically full. A good sign.As the name implies (which means the "old post office"), the menu is Italian. We were offered menus, and also given a sheet with daily specials. The specials were all in the mid-CHF 20 range, and were served with either a mixed salad or soup. My wife chose the salad, and me the soup, which was pumpkin soup. I am generally not a big fan of anything pumpkin, but I must say the soup was very good. My wife's salad was basic, but good as well. For our entrees, we both chose the chicken scallopine (very thin chicken breast) served in a lemon sauce with risotto. Except for the stark lack of color on the plate, the quality of the dish was very good. The risotto was cooked very well, and the sauce was excellent. Not runny, and with a nice blend of butter (I think, like a beurre blanc type sauce) and lemon. We did not order dessert. With the two entrees (and appetizers) 2 glasses of house red, and a 1/2 liter of sparkling water, the bill came to CHF67, which is quite reasonable for this area. The service was very friendly and efficient. I got a home style feel to the place, which I really liked. I will definitely be back again. Enjoy!
