I received a warm welcome and my K9 Friend immediately received a well deserved bowl of water. The service was great, steady and she continuously checked back in on us to see if we needed anything else. Its located on the "beginner slope" of the Titlis side, which made it easy for me to wait up for my friends. The restaurant has a shuttle service for CHF 2.00 each way which might be worth taking from the station if you have skis etc to carry. We walked on the road and then on the well prepared snow track - only 5-10 minutes away. We had nice charcuterie platter and a great glass of wine to tie us over before dinner. Would definitely recommend for people who want to get up on the mountain but not ski! We will be back! thank you
Even getting to this place is exciting - up the funicular then on one of the most unique ski-buses ( a 4x4 van, basically) to find this superb little eatery and hotel at the foot of the nursery slopes on Gerschnialp.Once there it has one of the best views ever for lunch. I had a really good traditional Schweinschnitzel with rösti and a nice cold glass of Eichoff. This isn't St Moritz or Val, but I'd swap for this any day.
Restaurangen påminner lite om den i sällskapsresan men det gör nog de flesta restauranger av den här typen. Fin utsikt över berget i Engelberg om än i skuggläge under eftermiddagen. Deras schnitzel rekommenderas. Ligger beläget i anslutning till de lättare barnbackarna.
Haben jetzt, mitten in der Skisaison wiederum 2 Mal im Ritz gegessen und es ist einfach perfekt. Frisches Gemüse, währschafte und hervorragende Hausmannskost, tolle Käseschnitten und alles frisch zubereitet zum guten Preis. Ich bin immer gerne da.
