As one small local business owner to the next that is really nice to see. I hope the employee who I dealt with learns how to act within reason and hope they understand your core policy which seems to be warm and welcoming. Thanks.My friend wanted to stop in here today for her favorite latte and lunch meal. I joined her to catch up and chat as she loves this place.I walked in with a bubble tea from across the street, another local small business, and instead of addressing me the staff told my friend (who was spending money on a latte and lunch) that my tea was not allowed inside. (At this time I was grabbing a table for us)The staff member told her I would have to throw it out or we would unfortunately have to leave.Why not address me on this matter?You have a frequent local customer spending money in your cafe all the time and is told to leave because I (me) have a drink from another local place? After accepting her business and taking her money she can’t enjoy her meal and chat with a friend in your establishment? I truly wish I could understand this mentality.We sat outside in the cold on the sidewalk table. How is this fair?I am not seeking anything out of this review I just find it really sad that this is how people are treated in your cafe. I will for sure not be returning to this place.How about support other small business? You don’t even sell bubble tea from what I see. What’s the big deal? Money was spent from our party regardless. What a shame.

No breakfast round-up is complete without a mention of River Rail. Considering how smallish R R is, our breakfast was mighty. And after a zero dark thirty day of flea marketing nearby, we were so famished, we needed to get a few a.m. bites before heading up home. River R. includes hearty breakfast and lunch dishes at reasonable prices. Don 't be put off by the on-trend feel of this place because it 's actually comfy. There are Vegan items, Vegetarian ones and meaty dishes also. Place your order up front, pay and meal is brought to you. My 'Moroccan Egg ' dish with like a zaatar sprinkle was very tasty. And despite my fried egg being on the flat side, the substantially runny yolk was everything for dunking. Hubs enjoyed his BEC on a croissant along with his decaf espresso. And my 'Mexican Hot Chocolate ' was nothing but Swiss Miss. Service was nice from the gals though. My drink aside, R R was a nice stop for good bites.

I took a friend there today for lunch to celebrate her birthday. She's a real foodie and enjoys cooking and reading cookbooks, so I knew the bar was high. But we loved our meals! They were delicious, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the desserts were wonderful. My favorite part though was the pineapple-watermelon lemonade that I had. It was out of this world!

They only let you give 5 stars to restaurants that are 100% vegan, but I would give 5/5 if I could. Large vegan BLT and Vegan Lemon Lavender Cake. House has made pastries and tea. Breakfast, lunch, pastries and drinks have all vegan and/or gluten-free options or accomodations

We had two great sandwiches on River and Rail. You have vegan selected breakfast sandwiches and lunch options. Fresh and delicious. The tempeh bacon is really delicious. Very recommended. They also have vegan milk for coffee.
