Rok N Sushi - Tisch reservieren

We came here on a Friday night around 9pm, because some of our Galpin friends had recommended this place. We sat at the sushi counter (there was only one other person at the sushi counter seated, aside from us). , The service here really lacked. There were two sushi chefs working behind the counter. One was preparing sushi, while the other guy was very chatty with a patron that appeared as though it was someone he knew. He didn't even acknowledge us, even though we pretty much sat directly in front of him leaving us to wonder if maybe we should've sat at a table, rather then the counter so that someone would take our order. We must've sat there for a good 10 15 minutes before ANY employee of this establishment said anything to us. No one brought us water, utensils, or even a menu. We actually viewed the the menu on Yelp, figuring that once the sushi chefs acknowledged us, we had better place our order not knowing when he'd get to us again. After he finally took our food order, and handed us our sushi, I had to get his attention again as our food sat, and ask for napkins, chopsticks, ginger, wasabi etc. At this point we still didn't even have drinks. It was not until the very end when we were almost finished eating, that the waitress waiting on tables noticed that we didn't have drinks, and asked us if we wanted something to drink. She was very apologetic, but needless to say after the horrible service, and being over charged for an item we ordered, I will keep driving and go to Sherman oaks next time.

Just not great. Hate to put this on here. But it is misleading when it shows they have 4.5 rating on grub hub and then to come over here and see how bad it is for everyone. At least I don't feel alone lol honestly I made a mistake by ordering the salmon skin roll out of curiosity. Just don't make the same mistake that I did. It was too strong in smell but overall... ...I didn't anticipate how poorly made this would be. They're just falling apart every time you try to pick up any of them. We ordered veggie rolls, cucumber rolls and rainbow roll and they were all just fine. Nothing special and a big waste of foam because they put them in THREE SEPARATE LARGE TO GO BOXES. Cmon guys. The earth doesn't need this and neither do I. What a waste. Also got the seaweed salad and it just didn't taste right? Idk if it was just more saucey? Or thick? I'm not sure but it wasn't great. next time I would just pay extra for a place I know is gonna make sushi with more structure and flavor.

Sushi was good but the service was extremely unprofessional. It took the server a good while to get to us and when they did they ruined the order. At the end of our meal we asked for the check and the lead chef decided to make a rude comment towards us to the waiter insinuating that we were a dirtier part of the body. Overall not a good experience I wouldn't recommend
