The restaurant doesn't exist anymore. Very disappointing. For my son's confirmation I reserved a table at Romulus thru Open table. I got to the restaurant with my family and the restaurant wasn't there. Just a sign outside saying For Rent. I had to find something else on a Friday at people) to avoid ruining the night.I was very embarrassed in front of relatives who had come from all over the States I have been a loyal user of Open table and I have never been disappointed by the service. This time though it ruined a milestone and a night of family celebration. I would expect a better screening and control by Opentable. The whole point of Open table is making sure I have a reservation. This accident mined my trust
Food was nothing special. The salads came out before the appetizer and then the appetizer came out as we started eating our salads. The salads were rather limp and no flavor to the dressing.. The fried mozzarella was saturated with too much oil and the oil had a funny taste to it. The pasta (spaghetti carbonara) was ok, but not the best I've ever had. I didn't see any signs of an egg in the dish either. It wasn't creamy as it should it should have been. I would not recommend this place. Go to Cassies instead. Much better food and better prices
Romulus is just a terrific restaurant. I had spaghetti with meatballs. Flavour was so authentic. My husband had the gnocchi made by hand. Fresh and flavourful. The owner greeted us and was not just attentive. He wanted to know how we enjoyed the evening as well as the food. What a pleasure!!! I highly recommend Romulus for the food, ambiance of the room and an owner who is appreciative of the business and lets you know how you are valued as a customer!!! We will be regulars
My friend and I had dinner here before a show at the Bergen PAC. The restaurant was quiet but the food was excellent, excellent! Our waiter was very attentive and gave great service! I would recommend it if you like good Italian food! I'll be back again
