I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday on April with my husband and our dog. We booked a table for and arrived at Our table was not ready and we had to wait about minutes. When we were called...to the table, it was not ready at all and they started preparing it with us sitting there. Not good. We noticed that all tables around us had a white tablecloth, but our table did not have one. We asked for a tablecloth and the waiter brought us one; she also told us that she was making an exception, that it usually does not work like that; we didn’t understand it and felt very embarrassed with this conversation; we did not ask for the moon, we just wanted a tablecloth, by the way like everybody else... During our reservation we mentioned we would bring our Cocker Spaniel (they even asked on the phone “what kind of dog it was”… strange). We sat at the table and waited; the owner came and he is a very friendly and polite guy and speaks italian. We ordered our drinks; our dog did not order anything because, well, dogs drink only water… they didn’t bring us water to the dog. We finally asked for water for the dog and after minutes they brought water in a supermarket packaging (see pic); this was a bit of a shock, very improvised… metal bowls are available at Amazon for Just unacceptable. While trying to take our order for food we were told that half of the things on the menu were not available… on a Wednesday evening! So we skipped our first course and ordered an antipasto and a main dish. The antipasti were small and overpriced. They were also nothing special, apart from the Italian names; but they did not correspond to anything Italian that we got in Italy during our stay, so we know better... The main dish was OK; then again, nothing special. After the main dish nobody came to our table for minutes. We wanted to have some desert. The waitress came and said the if we wanted desert we should be very quick, because the kitchen would close soon. I wondered why nobody came for minutes if they were in a hurry… We asked for a menu because she didn’t bring us one. She brought the menu and insisted once again: The kitchen will close! You have to order soon, also coffee, if you will”. The least I expect is to be pressured after minutes of no service. I didn’t order anything; my husband ordered a Panna Cotta, which was below average. Conclusion: overpriced restaurant with no value for the food we had; unprofessional service. We are definitely not returning to this restaurant again… Alexandre Faria [email protected]

First time! Went with girlfriend my first visit. Great atmosphere chich and clean, well watered plants. Olives, olive oil and lard to bread as teaser, then ravioli with fungi and Italian prosciutto, main course fish platter which wasa little dry and undecorated....A little lemon slice or a color dash like a yellow or red pepper would have helped. Great wine list- the Lugana Riserva was declared a on the list but came as with no comment from the waitress. A perfect scroppino was a fine closer for the lovely and enjoyable dinner.

Being Italian I don't really like eating in Italian restaurants when I'm abroad, but this time I had no choice.. and I'm very happy I couldn't go somewhere else! I'm really impressed by the quality of the food. Usually Italian restaurant abroad tend to emphasize...quantity more than quality, here at Rosso di acqua e sole they do emphasize quality. If I'll have a chance I'll certainly come back. Ben fatto cumpà!

We’ve been in this beautiful restaurant hosted by friends. It was a lovely evening! The place is cozy and welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed, the food delicious with a wide and well prepared selection of Italian dishes and the staff is attentive to details. Absolutely...recommended!
