I visited over the weekend, I had a slice of white chocolate and raspberry cake and a latte my wife had coffee and a flapjack, the coffee was pleasant, atmosphere was warming and lovely the staff where very attentive and helpful so thank you to all staff. I was disappointed with the baked goods. The white chocolate and raspberry cake was flavorless and the butter icing grainy like eating sand I am not sure how you make a flavorless cake but whoever made this has achieved just that. The flapjack looked like saw dust and the taste was horrendous not good. It's a shame because to look at it's visually pleasing. The food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelt delicious, when we return I think we will be ordering from the main menu and leaving the bakery well alone. After our coffee and cakes we walked around the garden centre, which was pleasant and purchased some wonderful items.
Had a wonderful brunch here on Saturday with my daughter. I had the healthy brunch with avocado, toast, mushrooms, hummus and my daughter had salt and pepper squid. Food tasty, service excellent and quick, prices reasonable. Lovely decor. We took cake away from the fantastic Knead bakery and that was gorgeous too. We did visit before and had a bad experience which they kindly appreciated, apologised and gave us a voucher. They have more than improved. This cafe is now one of our firm favourites . Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
Terribly slow service in the restaurant. Waited for 50 minutes after being advised our choice of order not available 20 minutes after the order. Sat and watched people around us get served first. Would never visit again
