Sawasdee - Tisch reservieren

What a gift to chance upon this intimate little Thai restaurant two blocks north of The Fork and The Alimentarium. The menu is only in French but all the Thai favs are there: Pad Thai, spring rolls, pot stickers, panko shrimp...yes! Best to skip the (kind of dry) fried rice. No soy sauce, tofu, Thai iced coffee/tea or jasmine tea—-but the food is great. Order and pay at the counter then choose your seat and they bring it to the table. Good stuff. Friendly staff.

Ich habe ausdrücklich nach Erdnusssoße gefragt und es gab stattdessen süß-sauer zum Hühnchen. Der Grund, warum ich das schreibe, ist, dass wir in diesen Zeiten kaum etwas anderes als Burger, Pizza oder Kebab bekommen und ich das Essen selbst in Montreux abgeholt habe. Ich schätze, ich sollte das Essen überprüfen, bevor ich nach Hause fahre, aber es ist traurig, dass es in der Gegend so häufig solche Probleme gibt:

We ate Pad Thai and it was a huge portion that cost us 16 francs. So the price was definitely reasonable. If you can't eat the whole portion, they pack it in for you. The atmosphere was nice for a quick lunch and the staff was nice.

Ich kaufe dort regelmäßig das rote oder grüne Thai-Curry und liebe es! Mein Favorit sind die Garnelenvarianten, frisch und scharf, wie es sein sollte! Erinnert mich an meine Asienreisen.

The food and service was very fast and tasted okay. We got the impression it was mostly take-away...
