Schaeferstube

Schäferstube gave us mixed feelings. The staf is super nice and friendly. As starters we had vitello tonato extremely delicious (it has few seasamed tuna pieces). We also had tartar which was partially good there was little bit too much mustard/horseradish that hide the taste of meat. As main course we had lamnhaxe with polenta. To my taste there was too much lambfat (tastewise). We also had pulled pork hamburger (not that special) and entrecote (not really entrecote cut, but more like file cut). As desert we had superb apfelstrudel. Wine selections were good. Schäfer stube is quite pricy and with that we had little bit higher expectations for food level.

A really enjoyable evening. On arrival, invited by some of the locals to join them for drinks on the terrace, overlooking Saas Fee. The restaurant is composed of several small dining rooms, so noise is not an issue. The menu proposes locally sourced dishes. The lamb shank was delicious. There is a great choice of local wines and all of the staff were very professional and friendly. Will definitely return.

Alles war wunderbar. Wir hatten so eine tolle Erfahrung. Der Service war warm und aufmerksam, alle Gerichte waren köstlich, das Timing war perfekt, die Weine ausgezeichnet. Die Terrasse hat einen unglaublichen Blick und die gemütliche Innenseite des Restaurants ist voller Charme. Ich konnte es nicht mehr empfehlen.

A really cosy restaurant in a traditional chalet, with perfect service (attentive, kind) and good quality food, with a decent price-quality ratio We’re vegetarian, and there were decent options. It’s the kind of place you’d come for a special occasion.

Great place! We had dinner but they have open at the day too. Best service and superb food and wine We can absolutely recommend this restaurant
