Severnshed - Tisch reservieren

The Severn Shed is a lovely little restaurant tucked away behind Queen's Square. As with most things located on the harbour, I was very excited to visit here and I wasn't disappointed! If the weather is good, try and eat/drink outside on the terrace as the views are lovely and it makes a very peaceful afternoon. As you can see by the pictures I uploaded, I visited in the snow which meant it was a little cold to eat outside, however there are equally good views if you are able to sit at the back windows. The food was very nice, and not badly priced considering the location. On the note of location, The Severn Shed is a little far away from the heart of Bristol. It's a really nice place to come for a couple of drinks and if you are in the area, definitely worth a pop in.

The Severn Shed is one of Bristol's smarter venues. Half the shed (much classier than that sounds) is a cocktail bar and the other half a restaurant. The cocktail bar is worth a visit. The staff know what they're doing, and will impress with twirls of vodka bottles. There's a harbourside balcony where you can watch the rowers going past with cocktail in hand, a very relaxing way to spend the evening. The food is pretty sophisticated stuff. Last time I went with a group of eight and only heard one person with a bad word about their meal. It's not cheap, but there are lunch deals, so maybe go and research these before visiting. Whether you visit the bar or the restaurant (that's if you've got the cash to do it) Severn Shed will bring a dash of class to your day.

Before I visited the Seven Shed, I was extremely familiar with the Shed cocktail bar in Exeter, having visited several times for the flashy but low priced happy hour delights. The Seven Shed didn't disappoint; they serve food here too, and it's a great place to come on a weeknight before 8pm, as they have a special menu which is significantly cheaper. The food is served in adequate portions and is fantastically presented. The space does, however lack some atmosphere as it is a large lofty space, and it seems to be a trademark of the shed company to have unisex toilets! That aside, a brilliant place to put on your glad rags to visit.

Severnshed pulls off a pretty impressive trick for a big venue it appears to be a lot more intimate space than it actually is. Mainly through the low and warm lighting, they've done a great job of distracting you from the fact that you're essentially sitting in a large, er, shed, I suppose! The food is excellent, with the falafel being my personal pick of the starters, while the roast chicken, which comes the creamiest of mashes, stands out from the mains. One tip: try and nab an outdoor seat so you can enjoy excellent views across the docks everything is certainly shipshape and Bristol fashion at Severnshed!

Jolly nice spot on the riverside. Extraordinarily friendly service, delicious food (great lamb cacciatore) and great atmosphere, although I would suggest anyone looking to get very romantic or intimate to find a quieter place.
