Upscale Mediterranean cuisine with a great atmosphere and magnificent outdoor seating! Shak sits at the end of the main road in downtown Vista and is positive abuzz with fun atmosphere. The outdoor seats benefit from a beautiful breeze through the area with magnificent views of the road and the park on the way. We have a half order of hummus to begin, which was more than enough for both of us. This came with groundless homemade Pita triangles. I had the Shawarma-Rind combo for my head, which was beautifully spiced and came as a bowl, Pita Wrap or salad. The crisp lake on beef has really added a beautiful texture to add the spices. I got a red eye to drink that Tequila was based on pomegranate syrup and garnished with a canned sage leaf. As soon as I mixed the drink, it was quite refreshing on a hot summer day.
While the food was excellent and delicious, the ambiance was fun, and the price was ok, the service wasn't as good and I think is understandable, the lamb kabob and rice that I ordered had a good presentation, the marinated meet was very tender and the rice was quite unique. If you are a red meat lover, you shouldn't miss the chance of not trying this place.
Excellent service of Grace, she went over to serve us and lead us. The lamb schish kabob falafel were top notch. They were the best I had in the USA and I'm in. The Schwarma and Dolmas were excellent. The Rosenwasser Rtiramisu was different, but exquisite? very happy. I'll be back soon.
Food and staff were great! I did not make pictures of the food I starved, but the humus with the side of the cucumbers was so good and the chicken cabobs were also very delicious. I ordered a water to drink. I'm sure I'll come back. I strongly recommend this connection.
