when you go in to the restaurant the fist thing that hits you are the outstanding views because you are high up. Being fairly new to Japanese food we were a little nervous and we explained this to our hostess. she was very helpful and suggested trying the 10 piece sushi to start. We sat up at the hot plate to watch everything getting cooked. The sushi was gorgeous, the fish just melted in your mouth. The show put on by our chef cooking our mains was pure artistry. There were knives and food flying everywhere and it all landed together in the most wonderful tasty dishes. He was so lovely and was very appreciative of our oohs and aahs. It was like going to see a show as much as going to eat. Would highly recommend a visit. We were made to feel very relaxed even though we were not sure how we should do things. the lovely staff kept us right but it was also very much do your own thing. Definitely worth a visit.
The best service and japanese food I've had outside Japan. Everything was delicious and the service incredibly friendly and helpful. The chef really knows his dishes and is delighted to give a piece of advice (which I followed and was very happy with the choice! Not a cheap place, but definitely worth the money. Quality food!
It doesn't take much to figure out that this is not an authentic Japanese restaurant. The restaurant itself is pretty run down, even the menu is worn out, prices are pretty steep. I only ordered some seafood soup and some horrible, clearly frozen, dumpling, and took off very disappointed. The soup was ok though.
