Very authentic Spanish cider house-quirky but not in a naff way. Mainly filled with Spanish customers and not a lot of English spoken by staff but you can get by and they are friendly with it. Menu was in English which was great as it gave you the chance to really explore what was on offer. We had the pieces of roast chicken which were amazing, potato bravas which tasted really fresh and 'grandmas special ' which was a mixed grill affair with a black pudding type slice, chorizo, 2 fried eggs and some other bits (doesn 't sound very finessed I know but it tastes good). We were seriously stuffed! Looking at other portion sizes coming out to guests it 's the sort of place where one meal would fill you for the day. Lots of people drinking the local cider which was nicely chilled and refreshing. A bargains at around 4euros for a large bottle!
Great traditional Asturian sideria/restaurant. Good atmosphere, good food, with consistent quality. We have been there many times, and are never disappointed. It can get very busy, due to its popularity among locals and otherwise. Great place to try the traditional Sidra and regional dishes. Very good value for money. No English spoken really, but they do have menus in English...a great place to go for lunch or a more informal dinner...friendly staff La comida aqui siempre es Buena, ambiente tambien. We were taken here by a friend who knew the area well. Very much enjoyed sampling some local specialities such as cachopo. Which we should definately be able to get in England! Beautifully cooked huge steaks cooked on the grill and lovely sea food.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, what a pity it was somewhat spoiled by our server who displayed her obvious impatience, with us as we tried to understand the menu, even though one of our party has reasonable Spanish.
