We were in Almoradi a few days ago buying furniture and whilst looking for a café came across Restaurante Silvino which looked interesting with food plaques on the wall outside and decided to have a meal there later in the week. We made a booking which I must say was the most difficult I have ever made, given my few Spanish phrases. We were impressed with the restaurant when we first entered and were actually the first ones inside. Our waitress seemed quite curt with her Spanish to us, however after taking us to view their wine selection, we were soon drinking a very good bottle of red wine. We were pleased when we were given English menus as we had been expecting a dictionary challenge. We ordered the restaurant speciality starters of Asparagus together with a tuna salad to share, followed by Sirloin steaks in a parmesan sauce and chub mackerel. Whilst waiting for the starters we were given glazed almonds followed by a round salt glazed flat bread to nibble on. The starters were excellent as was the Marinated tuna salad of semi green tomato's and olives. Just the right waiting times between courses then we received the steaks and fish. I thought we were eating fillet steaks, they were cooked perfectly and so succulent. A side plate came with French fries, but no vegetables. Almond cake with ice cream and coffes followed. By now I thin that our waitress must have been on edge when we came as her English was as good as our Spanish, but during the meal, she warmed to us and was a perfect waitress. We were there over 3 hours and spent an excellent evening and would highly recommend Restaurante Silvino.
Went here just on chance, wanted to embrace the Spanish culture and food we were not disappointed. This is a fantastic restaurant which unless your adventures you might never find which would be a shame. No one in our group spoke Spanish but we are all up for new experience we were given an English menu which helped but as no staff spoke English we still had a little trouble however the waitress was so concerned about us having a good time that she found a guest who spoke English and from there it just got better. So what about the food you ask well it was amazing my wife and our friend had the catch of the day which was prawns which couldn't have been fresher we saw them only a minute earlier still kicking. I had the soup along wife my friends partner which was saffron based unbelievable. For main we left this to the waitress who brought out steak for my friends and rabbit for me and the girls had fish all was excellent. So if you up for the real Spanish experience and like good food in a great little restaurant this is the place to go.
this was quite an expensive restaurant but the food was lacking good quality. we had a salad to start but it was very oily and very salty, so was spoiled. usually restaurants leave you to put your own olive oil and salt! i had fish with garlic and piniones, the fish was cooked lovely but the toasted garlic on the top over powered the whole dish and led to bad indigestion for the rest of the day! my partners stew was also too thick.the wine was also very expensive, so a return will probably not happen.
This restaurant is in a bit hidden place and still always a loth of people there, but 99.9% Spanish, the foreigners in the area have not found it yet. Well its excellent, the quality of the food and also the taste. You should definitive go there and try out. I will come back for sure.
