There is a number of Simply Noodles in Sydney - St Ives, Macquarie Centre, Top Ryde, Rhodes, Greenwood Plaza and Warringah Mall - and I can guarantee each store has its own little nuances.St Ives is located in the upper food court, and our favourite every time is Roast Duck, BBQ Pork + Laksa with vegetables AND chicken. (Make sure to order BOTH chicken and veges in this Laksa)The Laksa is one of the best I've had in street food or Michelin hat restaurants. The duck is cooked in its own oven on site and really, you can tell. It is so good, many times we buy a whole duck to take home.For a "no fail" meal every time, order the soy Char Kway Teow. Awesome.The absolute best Laksa and duck is at it's Warringah Mall store - maybe it's the chefs or maybe my taste buds, but this is my favourite of the many Simply Noodles stores.I know that lots of times you get very varied ratings. These guys, no matter which store, always are consistent.Simply (very) Tasty.
We spotted Simply Noodles some days ago, and as we were in the area, decided to try their food. We started with Duck Pancakes - enjoyable! We then had a Noodles with Beef - tasty! and a Combination Hokkien Noodles - pure magic!! All was cooked to order, and surprisingly quickly. We sat and ate, but it is also a take away establishment. The food is reasonably priced, and the service is good. There was only one minor flaw.... the Duck wasn't shredded but presented as pieces. Unfortunately there was duck bone in two of the four duck pieces. Will we go back? ABSOLUTELY!
We get take away from here quite often, just because the noodle soups are always so good. The Tom yum soup has great flavour and not too hot. I always have the BBQ pork noodle soup with added dumplings. Costs extra but have never had a bad serve. Very quick service. The dim sims are also some of the best we have eaten.
Great flavours. Wonderful Pho and Laksa one of the best yet. It's always busy which is a good sign. Service is instant. Great soup stocks.
