We went to Sommerlust on a rainy Tuesday evening for dinner. The restaurant is located further from the center of the town than most restaurants, and a walk through the old town followed by a scenery walk along the river for about 5 mins took us there. The restaurant has a nice indoor dinning area and outside seatings both on the patio under overhanging roof with glass enclosure and tables in the garden. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and the restaurant's design and ambient are very refined. Our waitress Sallu recommended a Swiss white wine and a Swiss Pinot Noir, both are very delicious. We are offered a complimentary chicken cutlet appetizer which is very good. The salad with pear and glazed walnuts is perfect. For main course I had lamb filet which is very well prepared and tasty. Our waitress Sallu is the best! The restaurant also has a nice cigar lounge on the second floor. Fabio (think he is the manager) provided good recommendation on cigar and scotch. Overall this is a fabulous place where one will have a great experience for fine dinning. For special occasions, romantic dinner or business, this place will impress.
This restaurant has a romantic atmosphere. My partner invited his friend who are couple.He has been here few times but it is my first time having dinner here.The opening is green soup with permesan cheese cracker and a poach egg. It is looks beautiful and tastes delicious. Herr Fabio has giving us a good service and helpful. I ordered pumpkin soup with fried bio shrimp wrapped with yellow rice for appetizer. The shrimp is so crunchy and delicious. My main meal was a Swiss Beef grill with delicious sauce serve with stir mix vegetables and French fries as my option order and my partner ordered a steam with boiled potatoes. It tasted delicious and the fish so tender. The closing were sweet chocolates and fruits.Thank you Fabio and SommerlustI will recommend to my friends
We had a great evening in this lovely restaurant near the Rhine; we had great French food, great (Italian) wine and we loved the dessert-surprice we got. The advise we got from Fabio, what to eat was great: we had the sea fish as main course. The service is of high quality. The people are very friendly and so was the price.
What was great food at this place with my family staff are very polite and helpful, food is very delicious. For me first time for came to this restaurant hope in future we will come again.
