Sonney's Bbq Shack Grill

Pretty good food, but waiting was ridiculous. They are more concerned about receiving phone orders and delivery than the people who actually go there. There was no line and it took us to sit for 15 minutes as we sat and watched that the girl in the front take about 10 phone orders then took another 45 minutes for us to get the food. Food and drinks were good when we got it. I'm probably not coming back.

We enjoyed an afternoon in Sonneys during the visit for the week! There?s plenty of space on the terrace and a large grass area, our dog loved it and she welcomed dogs with a bowl of water! Our server was Greg, he was funny, informative and had great energy! The food was amazing and the variety of BBQ sauces provided were all delicious! And above all? Beer was cold! Would recommend!

My husband and I ate here tonight. The outside seats are super nice. We got the stuffed jalapeños for an appetizer, they were okay. We both ordered the Tri-Tipp sandwiches and we were both disappointed. The meat was not tender and was a little grim. Sweet potato fries were really good and so was the Coleslaw. Our server was nice enough, but the service was slow. Probably not back.

I stopped for lunch a few days ago from Sonney and was really impressed! The prices were very reasonable, and the food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the grilled plate and it came with a large part of perfectly cooked meat and sides. I will definitely be back soon and I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great BBQ meal at Lake Tahoe.

Truly the best BBQ in Tahoe. Their meat is smoked to perfection, sauces are delicious and made in-house and sides are generous portions. I will definitely be returning here. No wonder they?ve won so many awards!
