Southbound Smokehouse

Last night I stopped in Augusta and dined at Southbound at 8:30. It was my first visit to the Augusta region. We started with nachos as an appetizer for the table, which were good. However, my pork sandwich came out very quickly, so I didn't get to eat much of the nachos. The sandwich was delicious. My wife ordered 10 wings, which she found to be small but very tasty. Our daughter had the ribs and enjoyed them. The iced tea was perfect, but unfortunately the kitchen ran out at 9:00, so no refills were available. Overall, we enjoyed the live music, the location on the river, good food, and great service (thanks to Amiya who waited on us). We would definitely go back again! The restaurant is very conveniently located near our hotel (Crown Plaza) and next to the ballpark in a beautiful area.

I recently dined at a fantastic BBQ restaurant near SRP Park. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, and they offered a great selection of local and regional beers. The menu included options such as tacos, platters, and sandwiches. I decided to try the pulled pork taco, which had a delicious flavor, although I would have liked a bit more spice. The ribs (1/2 rack) were incredibly filling and the meat fell off the bone. The fries were crispy and flavorful, and the Cole slaw was especially delicious. This restaurant is open even when there are no games happening at the park, so I highly recommend giving it a try.

Nice BBQ Spot in N. Augusta near the small league baseball stadium. They have interior and exterior seats as well as roof seats. Wanted to try something else, but played it safe and went for the ribs that were rubbed dry. The part was plentiful, my picture is half rack, and quite delicious. You have a variety of secondary dishes and the 2 I chose were good. The hash and rice needed a little kick, so I gave some pepper sauce to it and that did the trick. If you are in the area and are for some BBQ, give this place a try.

Last night, this restaurant was bustling. I think the manager went out of his way to find us a table, and I really appreciate that. He was friendly and accommodating despite how busy the place was. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, and the food was delicious. The staff was well-dressed and friendly, particularly our waitress who was sweet and created a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, this place is fantastic.

Food and service were great. Our food came extremely fast!! I would recommend this place.
