Spenard Roadhouse

This wonderful restaurant found in the middle of Anchorage! It was amazing! I wanted to taste the halibut fish and chips, I'm finally in Alaska. The best healbutt and chips I've ever tried! Batter was thin and crispy, they also do not skip on the Halibut! On a bed of spiced pommes and perpetrators. On the side was a delicious tartaric acid sauce with a good amount of dill. Fish was crispy! The whole meal with a very sticky sticky pecan cinnamon bun! All butterflies and gooey with crispy pecans!

Pretty good food and service. Loved the house made sauce on the reindeer Scramble. The menu looked pretty simple. A few minor steps in the service, but bar service (which is where I was) is not always the same as table service. I appreciate that the bartender pampered me in an off-Menu cocktail when I noticed that they have the ingredients available. Overall solid and would not be against return.

The Mrs. and I hit the three sister stores this past week (South, Snow City Cafe, and Spenard Roadhouse)? South was our favorite for dinner, but Spenard Roadhouse is still delicious. We had the sweet potato tots, the AK Salmon, and the jambalaya. It was all delicious and unique. The service was great as well.

There was no waiting for a table. The staff is friendly and tends to the children well. Pizza was good. Everything was good. Parking is a little tricky as there is an exit sign on one side, but the other is for handicap so caused a little confusion. You can actually enter on both sides.

We love this place, the woman and me. The black spits are a must. No, really. Try em and see if you don't agree. Solid fried chicken sandwich. My wife enjoyed the Korean rice dish. Drinks and fun at the bar.
