I loved the dinner here, caught in Murren when I took too long to get down from a walk. The old couples running the square were absolutely beautiful. It was a relief to find a place in the Bernese Oberland, the local, very local... Swiss cuisine, not boring hotel fine dining menus or boring cafe food (or donor). All at the table next to me and I had their special goat-kid stew, and the Swiss man at the next table told me it was fresh from the nearby Gimmelwald. It was hearty, tasty and full, I felt like I was in the kitchen of a Swiss grandmother. The old lady also sent me a bag of bread for the cable car ride when I was one of the last customers. I was also visible the only Asian cuisine this night and I have no idea of the reviews that they are rude to tourists!
That was our best meal in Murren. I admit we were a little confused on arrival and uncertain when it comes to self-seated or waiting to sit. There were two women who didn't recognize us, and we thought to leave, but... so glad we stayed! After our first Hiccup everything was perfect. The meal was delicious and the service was great. Don't miss the sausage with onion engraving and spit, YUM! My husband had the burger and was very happy. Make sure to check this place!
Extremely rude staff They hate tourists, but their livelihood depends on it. At first, when we came to the restaurant, they said that the back was booked out, so we sat in front, but when other people came in, they were taken to the area, so n the back... where they said they were booked. I asked why they started mumbling and answering. They called it a stupid question why their business is tourist based, but they depend on tourists.
Dieses Murren-Restaurant fühlte sich an wie eine Cafeteria. Die Speisekarte ist begrenzt und besteht ausschließlich aus Mahlzeiten und Kartoffeln. Die Spätzli waren seltsam gekocht, als wären sie aufgewärmt, aber die Kalbsleber war wunderbar zubereitet. Kosten für einfaches Kochen.
