The food was ok. Perhaps better than average in this town during a UK invasion-week "Snowbombing". Service however took away the last bits of enjoyment where waiters do not have nametags nor any coordinated clothing that would make them recognizable of their role. Waiters yelling orders at each other and messy feel overall to the management. NI smiles in this place. Gordon Ramsey should whip this place into shape, as there is potential, that is wasted. The top notch was then we entered and asked to be sat at a table other than the waiter suggested and we we're shrugged at and the waiter seemed to say "suit yourselves". After that service was spiced with passive aggressive smiles. Watch out for this one.
Every carnivore needs a steak night on holiday, so we decided to try here. I've seen a couple of reviews from disappointed people, but our experience was a good one. We had the mixed grill for two which could have served 3 people easily. It was enormous with piles of steak, pork, chicken, vegetables, wedges, croquettes and fries. The steak was rare and juicy, as I asked and the whole thing was delicious. The service was good too. The only niggle, which was beyond their control, was the huge amount of flies in Mayrhofen that are a pain in the backside wherever you eat. This was the only restaurant on our trip that provided fly swats.
Steaks, prosecco cocktails and lovely surroundings, this place is one of the nicest places in town.A very accommodating place, modern decor in front section and outdoor seating available.Lots of choice on the menu and a 'fancy' type place. We went there twice whilst we stayed in the town.Only thing that was a little slow or inattentive was the service.
The cafe Tirol is also a steakhouse, the food is really nice, the menu has changed since our last visit and the drinks and wine seems expensive in comparrison to other hotels and cafes. But very friendly staff and like most places they speak more than one language, free wifi is also available
