First let me say many will find the reviews of this restaurant hard to find as I did, since the name is Sterz im Mohrenwirt.I was on my way to Kunsthaus Graz and happened to see this restaurant, which was close by. Since it was a nice warm day and they had outdoor seating, I thought it would be a good spot for lunch. The brief menu was made up of mostly traditional Austrian dishes. The dish I had seemed very much like Austrian comfort food, made up of some different meats and vegetables, including sauerkraut. With the exception of the kraut, I really enjoyed my food. Beer and wine are available. Service at this casual eatery was friendly and down to earth. Credit cards were excepted.Good choice for a local meal and flavor.
Puristische österreichische Küche vom Feinsten – Verdiente 5 Sterne! Unser Besuch war von Anfang bis Ende perfekt. Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal, gut ausgewählte, saisonale und regionale Speisen und angenehme, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Wir sind beim Essen sehr kritisch, aber alles war perfekt und genauso wie es sein soll. Kalbsschnitzel und der Kaiserschmarren (super fluffig und karamelisiert) sind absolut empfehlenswert. Ich kann sagen, dass es der beste Kaiserschmarren war, den ich jemals gegessen habe. Großes Lob!
Der Mohrenwirt ist absolut empfehlenswert! Sehr sehr nettes Personal inkl. Chefin, absolut überragende Erdbeer Bowle, grandios leckeres Essen. Von der Vorspeise, Salat bis zum Hauptgang..... alles stimmig und einfach nur überragend. Hier würde ich sicherlich wieder einkehren, wenn ich mal wieder in Graz sein sollte. TOP!!!
this place was so good we dine there twice. Not easy to find as we stumbled upon it but definitely worth the effort. the food is hearty and unpretentious with great service. Nothing is too much trouble and the chef and wait staff love to try out their English Try the Austrian fare it is excellent
