Stillwater Tavern

we came to hampton to visit the space museum and parked next to the taverne and decided to partake. we were met at the door of nicholas (I hope I wrote it correctly) who was warm and friendly. we sat at the bar and took a beer and chose a few local brews from the tapes and ordered she crab soup and a grilled chicken salad from the menu and divided. service was fast and the food was great! the suppe had exactly the right amount of heat and was full of taste and I think I tasted a hauch of muskatnuss, which it simply sent to another level of quality. the salate was just as brilliant. the chicken was perfectly grilled, cut and still moist and delicate. the salat was well chopped and had added a selection of vegetables on the top. the balsamico vinegar was also delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who is close and a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal of great food and delicious local beer!

this place accidentally found, because we did not want to put on 64 in traffic. we enjoyed our experience in the Stillwater tavern. the customer service was fantastic the eating was fabulous. we would go there regularly if we lived closer. on our next trip to norfolk we will make a point.

This hole-in-wall location has an amazing atmosphere to it. The perfect blend of a fishhouse and a tavern. Prices for seafood are surprisingly affordable, and being directly under the parking garage for the surrounding shops makes it easily accesible.

I enjoyed my departure in Stillwater tavern. there was a lot of parking outside and the mood was very cold. the bartender/server was patient and had an outgoing personality. the portion size was great and I enjoyed my visit!
