Straw Hat Pizza

Nostalgie is the drug: I am originally from Sacramento and have many beautiful memories of Straw Hat Pizza. It was a long, long time since I returned to Sac city. So I wouldn't miss a chance to try what used to be my favorite pizza. Either I have no taste buds as a child, I do not remember the quality, or Straw Hat Pizza has changed its quality / style. It wasn't exactly the same. The crust was crack-like, rather similar to a fancier Totinos, the turns were fine, but had a strange aftertaste. The price was reasonable. But apart from that, my childhood memories were stained...

Very very disappointing. Order large pan Meat-e-or pizza $30. The pizza was 80% dough, NO toppings to speak of. I would expect at least half inch of toppings on a large pan pizza, but none. I grabbed a slice and was just covered with some cheese and sauce. You could fit all the toppings of the pizza in one measuring cup, very very sad. Look at the pic, WHERE'S the toppings? After two piece I couldn't eat it any more, not even tasty. I am NEVER going back.

Use to love Strawhat pizza. Ordered a large combination $38, the crust was really thin like a frozen store bought, it looked like it wasn?t even cooked. It wasn?t even hot. All the toppings were cold. The supervisor on duty wouldn?t even try to help because she was ?busy? can I call back tomorrow

It's a pizza joint. You love either Straw Hat or hate it. It wasn't as good as I remembered, but the pizza compound had little salad bar. It was okay. Pizza's not my food anyway. Too fat with all that cheese.

absolutely love straw. we need more of it! this position is great. the young kerle and dudettes who work here are very friendly and respectful.
