Studio Movie Grill

The website said to arrive at the theatre about 20 minutes before showtime so you have enough time to place your order, use the restroom, etc. We walked into the theatre about 5 minutes before the movie was supposed to start and it was absolutely disgusting. There was food all over the place, the floors were gross, and I saw a mouse (or some other type of rodent) run across the floor. After leaving the theatre to double check if we were in the right one, a worker told us that the staff still needed to clean the theatre so we would have to wait a little bit. A few workers began to clear the trash from the theatre, and the movie didn’t actually start until about 25 minutes after it was scheduled to start. I didn’t necessarily mind the wait, but the fact that there were no earlier showings in this theatre for today meant that the disgusting trash and leftover food was left over from the night prior. The theatre was only removed of food and the majority of garbage, not actually cleaned, because the chairs and cup holders were disgusting, and the tables you’re meant to place your food on looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in months. The floors were gross and sticky, and I spent the majority of the movie on edge, worried that the mouse from earlier was going to crawl over my foot, or I was going to contract some form of illness from this ill kept theatre. The bathrooms were also a mess. The food itself wasn’t too bad, just a little bit pricey (understandable, as it is a movie theatre), and the staff was reasonably friendly— by reasonably friendly, I mean that they weren’t rude at the very least. However, for a place that charges a restaurant-style 18% auto-gratuity, I would expect the service to be better. When a member of my party was finished with her food, one of the employees refused to take it out of the way, stating that she can just leave it there and someone will take care of it after the movie. However, I’m sure that garbage will still be in the theatre up until the next showing tomorrow evening. And I don’t mean to sound stingy about the auto-gratuity. I have been in the restaurant industry for years and almost always leave a 20% tip whenever I dine. The restaurants that I have worked at have been very successful tip-wise without ever having to enforce an auto grat policy. However, it’s laughable that a movie theatre with mediocre service at best and a filthy environment does auto grat. Overall, I don’t think I’d like to support a business who can’t, at the bare minimum, keep their theatre clean. I wouldn’t go here if I were you.

Never received our food. After waiting an hr. Move was on for 45 min. Then coke to tell us the kitchen is closed at 9:09pm . But their last movie show time is at 10:00pm, so how the hell does those people get food. I guess they don’t get no service. Then they add the tip on your bill. Why am I tipping for service that’s not good food I don’t receive. They definitely need to change that policy. So definitely don’t booked a 9, 9:30 or 10:00pm movie . You won’t eat. Horrible it was a Thursday night. And only 8- probably 12 ppl in the theater. Won’t be coming back here again.

We had a great time!Action scenes in the teenage mutant ninja turtles movie were a little too loud,but other then that, I loved the fact that you could just push a button and get your order and pay for it in your seat!!I didn't see a trash can in the theater so we left our leftovers.I didn't know what to do with our trash.My son, and my two brothers had a great time!!Thank you for what you do!My son moved in your area last year, In a residential house, and your theater is the closest theater to him!! I'm so glad your the closest for him!

I went to an eight o'clock movie. The movie was good! The place is sticky. From walking on the floor to your seat you don't know what that will look like. I like that they have multiple viewings for a movie and you can park for free in a nearby lot. If I were to go back I would bring some lysol wipes to wipe where I sit and I wouldn't eat there. So fill up before your visit and enjoy the movie.

In the past year, I have visited SMG a few times and enjoyed my experience each time. Easy online ticket purchases, quick admission process, theaters are clean with spacious seating. The food and service were definitely worth the prices you can expect. Sign up online and earn free tickets. Free parking a block away. You must try Studio Movie Grill.
