An okay cafe. Nothing amazing and nothing terrible. Pleasant staff, but after inviting us in they didn’t tell us that it wasn’t table service so took us a while to realise we had to go to the counter to order. A shame it was paper/plastic...cups still.
Limited number of snacks but what is available is of reasonable quality. Coffee is not the best but also not the worst I have tasted. Open to all even if not visiting the castle. Good Covid precautions in place.
Only a limited amount of pre made snacks. sandwiches, scones and cream, crisps and soft drinks. Hand as a stop off when out walking. Will close down when castle closes for the end of season.
fancied a sandwich, but only rolls, pancakes and sweet things in the offer. ends with a bag of simple fights, as I was not fancy trying to get rid of, carnival or wild boar.
