Tent CSU San Marcos for a conference and there is hardly a vegan / vegetarian restaurant. Found on Happy Cow and decided to try it. I guess they're trying to make dishes vegan. I confirmed with the waitress that there are no fish sauces in the curry. I had many Thai foods in my life while the foods here are OK, they are definitely not the best. I guess beggars can't be voters.
The food. here, at Sue Thai Om is delicious! We even have a great lunch special, available from 11AM-3PM, that comes with a bowl of soup, an egg roll, and your entree for only $7.95 or $8.95, depending on your choice of meat, or even vegetarian! Also, students of any age, if you are eating in, don't forget to bring your school ID to receive a free Thai Tea with your order.
I am regular at this point and love the drunk noodles. I usually couple it with the spring rolls that come with the house peanut sauce. They give the perfect amount of peanut sauce, but it is so good I always ask for more.. it is definitely the main reason why I love this place!
I'm new to the area and found this place on a happy cow. They had wonderful curry that is vegan. And they said they can do anything on the menu vegan after the new year. The food was fantastic and the service was great.
