The place is cute. I went during brunch hours on a Saturday. It wasn't crowded, but there were enough people. I had the Chicken and Waffles Benedict and the Fried Banana Pudding. The food was delicious, and the portions were good. The service was not so great. The waiter didn't seem to be having a good morning because he came off like he didn't want to be there nor deal with anyone. He definitely looked like he was forcing himself to be polite. He came to take our drink and food orders, and we didn't see him again until dessert and then the check. Gratuity was already included in the check, 20%...smh whatever. I would recommend the food and atmosphere, but hopefully, whoever reads this and decides to go has a better experience with the service.
Came here for brunch one day, all I can say is YUM! I will definitely be back here when I am craving some homey Southern food.We ordered the sugar freak breakfast and chicken and waffle beignet. Everything was spot on! I wasn't sure what to expect from the waffle beignet but it was delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, this is definitely for you! Staff was friendly, can't wait to come back.
Cajun/Creole food. Service was excellent and the food was quite tasty. Lots of choices, expansive menu. Good for even picky people something for everyone.Kid-friendliness: The mac and cheese is very good for kids, and the wait staff are friendly to kids. I don't think there is specifically a kids menu but there are lots of choices on the regular menu that kids would like.
Look forward to coming back to this hidden gem in Astoria! Everything in the menu was appealing! Jacob helped me decide, he was welcoming and had great attention to detail with everyone. My food was delicious and the ribs came right off the bone!Ask for Jacob when you come in!
