An outstanding day at Brooklands that just got better and better as the day went on. Every turn of a corner around the site produced another amazing gem to look at. The TV programme is very aptly name as Brooklands is full of little secrets to be discovered. From the moment we arrived and drove straight in through the Campbell Gate we were ushered to the perfect parking spot, in the shadow of Concorde. We then spent the 8 hours chatting to hundreds of other car enthusiasts who had turned out for British Marques day on Drive It Day. The museum exhibitions took hours to view let alone the array of visiting cars. The Hill Climb made a great spectacle and the best part of all were the hugely welcoming staff. Fabulous.
great experience for a carfan and there is a lot to learn for bike and bus enthusiasts as well. a lot about the history of brooklands from its race to the history of the aerial and war. they can take about 2 hours for the museum, follow the numbers on the guide and do not forget to enter the planes! also the london bus museum (which offers free entry when they have bought a Brooklands ticket, is worth a 20-minute stop for the casual visitor (and more if they are a bus fan!
have seen this museum on television, finally family membership. great day outside, much to see, inside and outside. interaktiw and many information. voluntary amazing. below: eat and drink very expensive. take your own picnic. the Indian tandoori wrap was the best tasty and inexpensive price.
what an amazing place for the whole family, young and old. everything you can see from vintage bikes to concorde. we spent 5 hours and more. if they liked speed, that's a place for them.
