My husband and I used to go to this sushi train several years ago. I took my son there a few days ago and it is now possibly the worst sushi we have ever had. They had a lunch special of $3.50 per plate, the portions were miniscule, flavourless and there were only a small number of choices on offer going around on the train, considering the number of choices they have on offer on their menu. On top of that the staff can't speak English. Here's a tip - if you have staff serving customers and 99% of the customers speak English, get staff that can speak English! My son asked for a lemonade, after the server asked him what he wanted to drink, she gave me my orange juice and then turned around and walked away without giving my son a drink. We ate three plates of sushi - as I said before flavourless and miniscule and I wished we'd walked out without paying. We paid at the counter and I told the server that the food was terrible and the service was ****. She said "What?" I repeated myself and again she acted like she didn't understand what I was saying. In the end I told her not to act stupid as she knew exactly what I was saying. Again, if the staff can't speak English proficiently, don't employ them!

Additionally, the staff could not speak English. My son asked for a lemonade, but after the server brought me my orange juice, she walked away without giving my son a drink. We ate three bland and small pieces of sushi and I regretted paying for the meal. When we went to pay at the counter, I told the server that the food was awful and the service was terrible. She pretended not to understand me, so I repeated myself, and finally told her not to play dumb when she clearly knew what I was saying. It is unacceptable to have employees who cannot communicate effectively with the majority of the customers.
For a convenient - good quality - economically priced - friendly meal with friends or if going solo - just love this venue. Order off the menu to maximize the freshness of the sushi. Anytime of day we have found good service and food.
