Sweetgrass Deli & Eatery

We read about Sweetgrass here and had to try it.One dreary June morning, we drove into Okotoks from Calgary and sat down at this quaint little deli restaurant combination on Elizabeth Street. As recommended, I ordered the home made sausage with my breakfast and was glad I did. Good breakfast served quickly and efficiently. for a total of $26.50 plus tax and tip.Plus, we visited the deli and took home some frozen entrees and soup for later meals. Their spatzle and goulash made for a fine dinner the next day.Sweetgrass offers daily changing specials for lunch if you would rather go a little later, but I expect that the place would fill up quickly due to the quality of their food.Try it, you will like it.

Sweetgrass caters to families and guess what? You're about to become part of the family!The service here is friendly and vibrant and newcomers will soon know everyone by name. As for the food? Roland is the man who runs the tiny back of the house that cranks out the best breakfast in southern Alberta. Off the hook fresh!!!You have try try the eggs. Amazing every time. And the handmade sausage patties.

Always good tasting, fast, hot and ample breakfast. Independant owner/operator touch rather than tired chain fare. Coffee refills make the rounds with and friendly service. Small selection of freezer meats and euro delicacies also offered. Not fancy but who cares: ITS BREAKFAST!

If you are looking for a Deli type restaurant with delicious food and all cooked from scratch, try this wonderful family owned place. Food is always freshly made, excellent customer service.

Great food and service small town great atmosphere. Sandwiches are excellent. Try a scone. Soup really nice
