I absolutely loved this experience in a Swiss chalet. It was so charming and cozy. Yes, the ceilings are low and wooden floors creaky, but that makes it so special! I felt like I came back in time. Especially loved the windows that were open with the red Gingham and white lace curtains, and the flower boxes under the windows. My room stood opposite the street, but was so quiet and peaceful. The lake park behind the main hotel building over the street was stunning with an incredible lake and mountain views. My mouth irrigates the amazing breakfast we had here. So many varieties of Swiss bread and cheese, cold meat, cereals, homemade yogurt and jams, eggs. I'd stay here again.
Absolutely amazing attitude. I'm glad I found this restaurant. Absolutely amazing starter of pumpkin soup. 10/10. I usually don't even like pumpkin that good. They had a vegan option that my wife loved. Would be good to see a second vegan option. The main was also good with cattle strawberry and deserts are designers. The service was exquisite and we were served the right amount and left alone the right amount too. I can't wait to visit again soon. Very recommended, give them a jump.
Like all in Switzerland, expensive!. But it was worth it. Beautiful location, very romantic and beautiful chalet with amazing breakfast. I can only recommend this place to anyone. Especially if you are looking for a romantic stay for a weekend or longer. The lake is located right behind the chalet and it is possible to get to the gardens to enjoy the view.
In one word: okay... The hotel and the restaurant are just that, okay. It's even a bit pricey for what you get. Honestly, go to Luzern, find a nice hotel for the same price and you'll have the restaurant with muuuuuuuch better service (which was incredibly slow here) and much better food (which was good, but not worth what we paid for)
