Hit the spot. If you need Indian food, you must have it and here it is! I found this by chance and gave him a whirl. Back from the street in a stripe mall setting, it doesn't look as if it's almost as interesting as it turns out. They put out a mastery Indian standard buffet, but I decided to order from the menu as I like my food hotter than the typical American diners. Waiting for my main meal was not a process as I was quickly served pappadum with 3 delicious sauces, and my Samosa appetizer came out quickly. The lamb vindaloo and the chicken tikka masala I chose were both excellent, but I had to ask for a left box because the portions were larger than what most Indian restaurants offer. The breads are big (I have onion cucha, paratha, and just naan patterned) and the mango Lassi just not too sweet and not too cold (in other places the Lassi is sometimes served wrongly as a McDonald's milkshake). I can't wait to come back here.
I enjoy the chicken tikka massalla. It has pieces of tanjore chicken in a creamy tomato sauce and it is served over rice. If you want to keep it safe and love chicken and tomato sauce, then choose this. It's always my favorite. It has a sweet but light kick of spices. The waiters are always kind when I arrive. I had the lunch buffet and it had a large selection of their regular menu items including desserts and bread.
Love this place try again!!!. Several have had negative experiences here, it seems in late summer 2009. Try again, I never had a bad meal there. It is raised in my experience, but we only started in September/October. The buffets are also amazing. And I'm another one who lived in NYC for a long time and ate very good Indian food. This place is with the best facilities in town. Really.
We eat here regularly. The service is always polite and punctual. The menu is from South India's Masala dosa to Goa's Vindaloo and North Indian Lamb pasanda, Tandoori offers and all the time favorite chicken tikka masala. It is always well prepared and freshly tasted. Do not forget to taste the delish mango leti and delicious flatbread, onion kulcha.
