booked in advance because we know how busy it was, so we had only high expectations for our experience, but how we so bitterly disappointed wandered down to find our table to sit on a dirty table. down and in view of our menus, quite rude employees who did not seem excessive in control. we had chosen a day when a large buffet was held for a large group of people. when it came to the drinks half we wanted were not on camp what was a scandal, we ordered our food and waited to clean the table itself! people who drink at the bar, spilled where the tables were, we had people on the back of our chairs, not really the things they want when they try to eat a nice evening. starter came, pleasant, but nothing special, no check back on eating or seeing if we wanted to drink more, our starters were not even cleared when the net was bought when I asked for cleaner cutlery, they thought I had asked for something more, the look that the type gave when I asked was ridiculous and made me bad to ask! the main course was literally disgusting, lumpy maic, which was cooked only tortoises easily without taste, luke warm veg and a tasteless tort. for £60 for 2 starter 2 net and 2 drinks it was significantly over price for what it was! my advice would save her money and otherwise eat where if they want a drink and a flowering atmosphere then yes definitiw try, it had a mood for that, but for a nice evening dinner about the search for the thems I would look elsewhere, we stopped 45 minutes there and went to the other side of the thems and ate dessert there!
We visited as a family group of seven for the comedy show. Booking online was easy and there was good communication on booking rules, dress code etc. Staff throughout were friendly. We had a drink on deck before the show then went downstairs for the show itself which was a lot of fun a good variety of comedians and a great compere. There are good breaks between the acts to get drinks etc. After the show we had planned to leave and move on but decided to have one drink and have a look at the nightclub set up downstairs (after the show the area is cleared of chairs etc and turned into a nightclub) omg I'm glad we did I haven't had so much fun in ages we laughed, tried on the props left out (sparkly hats, sunglasses, garland necklaces etc), danced, sang, had a couple more drinks and ended up staying until we had to dash off for the last train home. The location is great opposite the London Eye for some good photos and near Embankment tube station so a short walk to Charing Cross station. Thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommended.
on Wednesday, the 27th, we were sitting first in a closed part of the boot and we had asked if we could possibly move to one of the window seats. the waiter moved us friendly there, but we got a 40-minute time limit that was good as we had a show after that. we quickly decided what we drink. the food came quickly and well presented, we asked for some water for the table, but never got that. we enjoyed our food, we had the meat divider and a few pages. Once we finished, I asked for the bill and was asked to come to pay for the side. the card machine then called to ask if I wanted to leave a tipp because I had to cost the meal, I pushed no (we had planned to leave cash). the gent, who served me very abruptly, made a comment on the change of our table and disturbed that he deserved it. we found that a little rude and a bad taste left in our mouth. we quickly made us feel a little disgusting.
We came here for the Boat Show comedy club and had a great evening. Arrived about 7ish and got ourselves a drink upstairs, great view being on the Thames as the sun went down, opposite the London Eye and down to Big Ben. A pint and large wine was about £15 not bad for the area. Tattershall Castle is pretty well known, and is approx 5 mins walk to Embankment tube station so well connected for transport. The comedy club is downstairs, staff were very helpful and efficient, the performers were very good (a good variety) and the host was also excellent. Would definitely recommend for a fun evening.
