I guess it is a sign of the times that places like this are being forced to charge a lot more, tweek menu items (ie. removing the Gorgona platter) and overcharging for drinks. While the food is still pretty good, the portions have shrunk somewhat (1/2 roast potato with a $23 entree)? and items like the Gorgona sharing platter have been discontinued, which forces customers to order individual a la carte meals. While the service was reasonably attentive and friendly, our waitress who looked and dressed like she was still in high school was clearly very inexperienced and unorganized. Our party of 4 ordered one appy to share, 2 glasses of wine and 2 sodas along with 4 full sized entrees. With taxes and 15% tip the bill came to $160, which is making me think twice about returning anytime soon. For these kinds of prices, there are many better options out there. Given the restaurant was only 1/2 full on a sunny Saturday evening others are likely thinking the same thing.
4 of us had a very good dinner on a busy Saturday evening. We did have a reservation, had a nice spot outside and got to listen to the bike race announcements. Food was good, everyone had more than they could finish - generous portions for sure. Service was also pretty good and we were able to taste wines before making as choice.
we are a large family that has only one main house that we can congregate at so taverna is the place to go always well attended to cold beer on tap great appetisers mains are very good with choices allways a good time
Great Greek food, a little loud when full but the staff Rock and the bartendar is excellent never had a bad meal I've had everything on the Menu love the pasta and Lamb
