We visited in August 2017. The setting down by the beach has an air of the secret garden about it - it's tucked away and looks cosy and relaxed with the rustic tables, fairy lights and the pool. The staff were quick, almost too quick to take our order but seems to loose interest thereafter. They were mainly late teens/ early 20's and there seemed to be no-one in charge. We ordered more drinks and coffee that never arrived and had to get up to leave to finally get them to bring the bill. It's cash only too. The food started well - the starters were good - particularly the Moules taxi and the poulet curry - the mains were mixed - the steak and cod were good the tuna lacked any kind of seasoning ( apart from the ubiquitous sprinkle of dried thyme that seemed to be a feature of all the dishes - even dessert) and the desserts were universally poor - avoid the chèvre marinee unless you want to finish your meal with a dish that's more suitable as a starter. The staff seemed uninterested in repeat business ( or tips presumably) we booked here as our favourite le Balaou was fully booked - easy to see why - not sure we'll go back to Taxi Brousse but we'll definitely return to Le Balaou and make sure we book early!!!!its a shame as the location and potential should make this a place you long to return to year after year
