Visited Tea beside the sea for afternoon tea for a friends baby shower. As a vegan I wasn’t expecting much I never do. But the effort they went to was extraordinary! Staff were very friendly and the ascetic is beautiful. I had three different sandwich fillings, a scone with a really lovely dairy free cream alternative and four different patisserie items. Everything was delicious! The cakes were really moist (unusual for vegan baking). Could not recommend the vegan afternoon tea here enough. I’ve been to dedicated vegan businesses and haven’t been this impressed!
We visited for a friends birthday and it was lovely. We happened to go on THE hottest day of the year so far but the cafe made sure we had air con fans and open doors where necessary so we were comfortable. The food was lovely, traditional afternoon tea food of sandwiches, scones/cream and cakes with tea. The hosts were very accommodating with taking photos for us and generally very attentive. It has the bonus of being directly on the Shoebury East Beach area (walking distance) so is an ideal stop off for tea and cake!
This little cafe is a hidden gem the couple that run it are so welcoming and friendly we only popped in for coffee and cake (home made), but after seeing the menu... we chose lemon curd waffles and banana and maple syrup pancakes omg amazing and huge portion. Twice we've been there and yet to try rest of menu, BUT cant get past waffles and pancakes.. see you soon guys
We hired this venue out privately for my Cousin's 40th Birthday Afternoon Tea. They had decorated beautifully with lots of room for everyone. The food was delicious. I have a number of food allergies and I was given my very own Tea, and didn't feel I was missing out on any of the delicious treats!! Thank you so much!!
