Teppanyaki Japanese Steak House

Went here for a birthday supper. As always, the food was awesome. We had a new cook come and prepare the appetizer. He was obviously fresh and we were concerned. He did ok and then turned over cooking duties to a more seasoned and experienced staff member. Meal comes with egg drop soup, garden salad and chines fried veggies. The filet mignon or Kobe steak was very tender and juicy.

There was 10 in our group. We had not been there for 10 years or so. The service was very good and attentive. The food was ok to good but the portions were a bit on the small side. The kids enjoyed the presentation but it could have been better. All in all, it was good but not great and not necessarily good value.

Restaurants like Teppanyaki make their name on delivering good food with an incredible table-side show. Unfortunately, while the food was OK in this case, the show was a complete disappointment. Because the show was such a disappointment, the price was far too high for what we received.

This was the first time I've ever been to a restaurant where they prepare the food in front of you. I had the Kobe steak and it was so tender and juicy, the veggies were fresh and tasteful. The service was very good as well. I will definitely be returning!

It is different and you must try that, the type of restaurant is unique in regina ;) It is worth try it every 3 months.
