We arrived at night so the drive up to the top where the hotel was is not very brightly lit. Parking area is also not directly in front of hotel, we have to pull our luggage a short distance to a “tunnel” and take a lift to the hotel lobby. Breakfast buffet food options is also not a lot , and the lady serving us on the first day politely “chase” us away by giving us 15 mins to eat once it was 10am. It seems they close the entire cafe at 10 am sharp. You can’t even continue to eat after that. The mountain view from our room was fantastic and we booked the family room with our own private corridor so that was very nice. Rooms were also clean with comfortable beds.
Gorgeous hotel! Way up on the side of a mountain with beautiful views. I unfortunately did not have a room facing the front of the building with the great view. The lobby had lots of comfortable seating and a nice bar to take in the spectacular views. Wonderful breakfast! Outside and lobby look new and updated, though the rooms are much older. Creaky floors but comfortable beds! Also, a trek to get up to the hotel. Need to use the facilities’ tunnels and elevators.
We are disappointed. Very bad start here the lift from the village to the hotel was out of service. We called the hotel but the number in Google maps and on the website was not working.. so we had to hike to the hotel in the dark during heavy snowfall. Sauna is also closed without notice.. Staff doesn't seem to care. I would not book again..
