As a Brit in America, I've recently had some very disappointing experiences eating out which I've put down to post covid staffing issues, but Texas Roadhouse delivered exactly the authentic American eating out experience that I've long been looking for. Start to finish, it was great. The place was packed (always a good sign) but we were seated after only ten minutes and immediately served fresh baked rolls and drinks by our cheerfully professional server. I had ribs and loaded baked potato, plus green beans. Now, the ribs were the best I've ever eaten and the baked potato was certainly loaded, but what really surprised me most was how good the green beans were. That's quality! Our server and a supervisor or manager, both checked on us and the bill was less than I'd paid for far inferior service and food in other establishments. That's how to build a loyal customer base. Great job. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue.
I live in Lebanon and usually eat in the city or in Mt Juliet, but both the service and the food was better in Texas Roadhouse, Hendersonville than I had in quite a time. It was packed when we arrived at 8:00 on Friday night and we sat with our drinks in about 30 minutes. I was impressed. Our server, Dave was not only knowledgeable and quick to check for us, but also friendly and personal. It seemed like he had no other customers, and I know he did. He just moved. Even the menu choices surpassed the other steakhouses in the area. I had the bone in Ribeye, and it was sooo good. Wife had a ribeye, shrimp combo and said it was also perfect. It's a little inconvenience to drive 32 miles to eat here, but I won't wait too long before I get back to another unforgettable culinary experience.
Every single thing was great. Loved the yeast rolls. The salad was fresh. The sweet potato was perfect and the steak was superb. Usually, my husband and I try to eat at local restaurants that are not part of a chain. Texas Roadhouse is going to have to be an exception. We went in at about 5:30 on a Friday night and had a 15 minute wait. By the time we left, there was a crowd waiting for tables. Our waiter was attentive and likable, but I didn't catch his name.
The food was excellent. The service was attentive, but it did take a while to receive our food (however, the place was packed). The only true negative was that we were beset by tiny ants crawling on both the menus (that are kept in a holder a fixed to the wall) and on our table. We were seated in a corner and the ants seemed to be localized to just our area. We informed our server who said that he would inform the management.
