This restaurant has changed in the last two years and has gone more upmarket than the previous American-style fast food. The menu is more ambitious, its two highlights being lamb shank and slice of simmental beef. The waiters are pleasant and one of them puts on a show when preparing pasta in a hollowed-out whole parmesan. There are no 50cl pichets of wine, this quantity is only available in bottles and is more expensive but better quality. We went twice. The first time we had the lamb and beef, the service was excellent and we thought it terrific. The second time my wife's fish on risotto was bland, and my duck leg was very chewey and fatty. The service was disorganised. This illustrates the benefit to a reviewer of going to a place more than once. This restaurant's consistency needs to match its aspirations and it might achive higher grading. The first meal was easily four star, the second two and a half star. It won't stop us going again. Yes, duck leg can be fatty. Stick to duck breast as it's much more reliable.
