The Bombay Restaurant

I ordered some food for a father's day dinner today for a pick up, and when I got the food home the bottom two containers were crushed with food pouring out the sides. My fiancee had held the bag (which was VERY heavy) carefully the entire drive home and at no point did the bag tip over or have anything on top of it. When I called the restaurant in an effort to see if the food could be replaced, the lady on the phone instead stated that she is sure to double check all the bags, so it must have been my driving that caused the containers to crush. That's right, my driving and my fiancee's holding of the bags caused two bottom containers of food to crush. We are (actually, were) regular customers who had picked up food many times, and while I'd be happy to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt that this was a simple mistake on their part, I do not appreciate being told it is my fault and at no point did the lady on the phone take any responsibility for our crushed food. I was willing to meet them halfway by taking into account that I could have possibly stated that the bag seemed too heavy or checking everything before we left, however they should know better than to stack so many heavy containers in one bag, as well as give their regulars the benefit of the doubt.

So we came back for another Sunday buffet. As a matter of fact I uploaded my picture at the table right after I ate my food. The food was delicious, wonderful array of spices. It's a warm friendly restaurant with wonderful staff and also great air conditioning on hot days. So, as usaul the food was tasty. There is a different cooking staff so it's a little spicer and but more flavourable. Plenty of water refilled at our table , which is great. Truly love it and and highly recommend it. The buffet is between 12 noon and 3 pm on Sundays. And during the week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the lunch buffet is from 11:30-2:30 pm and it's replenished continuously. We'll try it for dinner soon and I'll post more pics. Fantastic naan, butter chicken , curry chicken , veggie dishes, etc etc , salad bar, fruit, rice pudding. A great choice for lunch if your in the area, and if your not, it's worth the drive, it's not to be missed. Plus you can do take out, fill a styrofoam tray and pack your naan bread in the tin foil provided. Can't get a better deal then this. We will definitely return. Oh yeah, that's french fries hiding under the naan bread, my husband says, they're the best! Pretty sneaky, Lol. Thanks :)

There is another couple and ourselves, all retired, and we try to go at least once a month for the buffet at the Bombay. There is a good variety of salad, main course and dessert. None of us has ever been disappointed. It is very clean and the decor is very tasteful. They only ask that you take what you can eat, which I do not have a problem with. Many times at a buffet it is sad to see how much food gets wasted. Better to go back than throw out.

This is a good place to sample East Indian food. They offer a good selection at their lunchtime buffet at a reasonable price. The quality is very good and the premises is well maintained and clean.

A friend took me to Bombay for the lunch buffet, it was very tasty, nice presentation, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the meal, too full to try any dessert. Reasonable priced.
