The Castle Inn - Tisch reservieren

We chose the castle this year for our annual family Christmas meal and night out, had a fantastic night out but... First off our table was next to the kitchen/til and was lacking in any atmosphere. More importantly the food: Christmas dinner was ok but way too over seasoned, and if you don't like spiced red cabbage then half of your plate was gone! It needed something like collycheese for variety. We all had this apart from my wife who had steak. Again, over seasoned, nothing special at all and very little to accompany it for the hefty £32 ! About 8oz! Starters of pate we're nice and very little choice of desert but was ok. I have to say we've paid less for much better so will be our last Christmas meal there. Overall the night was great though as the free band were great!

We called in here on the off chance of being able to eat on a busy Friday evening.The waitress said we could have a table but would have to leave by which wasn't a problem for us, we were then seated in an outside area which was next to the stage where live music was about to take place. Drinks were brought to us quickly and the waitress took our order of of their amazing pizzas and some olives and bread for starters, the pizza did take along while to come but we were expecting that and it was worth the wait.Just need to say that Astrid was a fantastic waitress with a nice smile and was very polite, a credit to the place.

I have been fortunate to eat here a couple of times recently. on both occasions the food has been excellent. As I am Gluten Free, menu choice can often be tricky. Well not here! I could have chosen several different options. including Gluten Free Pizza and delicious burgers served in a gluten free bun. The restaurant was busy both times, there was a lovely atmosphere and the service was spot on. The menu had changed between visits , different versions on a similar theme, keeping the selection fresh and appealing. Everything was great . Looking forward to next time!

Had Sunday lunch with my son. Excellent service and vibrant atmosphere. I had Roast beef, good quality but could probably have done with another slice of meat (only slice) a couple more roast potatoes (only on the serving), my son had a mozzarella tomato pizza which he really enjoyed with a fresh dough base cooked in a proper pizza oven.

Fabulous food (Best steak we've had in ages! Wonderful staff/service and brilliant live music to follow. Highly recommend
