Popped in for a quick lunch with a couple of pals the other week, and delighted find that they do a ‘pensioners’ lunch....basically the same as main course, just a smaller portion, which is great for us older folks, whose food capacity ain’t what it used to be. My preference is the black pudding starter and then the fish dish.....but whatever you choose, I am sure you will be happy. All the public areas are spotlessly clean, which is lovely to see. And ladies, yes, the facilities do not disappoint.....and brownie point for providing paper towels as well as those awful air things !! Go and enjoy

This pub has had its ups and downs over the years and I am delighted that it is certainly on the UP with the current landlord Jim and Gillian who have transformed this pub . A happy mixture of great food mixed with a bar atmosphere whilst serving enjoyable drinks.Plus regular musicians on a Friday Saturday night Well done to Jim and Gillian

Excellent value Sunday lunch 3 course menu and its clearly caught on as the place was pretty busy. Starters a bit slow. The mince and dumplings need to be improved as its far too runny but otherwise a much enjoyed afternoon with friends. Will definitely return. Seems to be more popular with the new owners.

Poped in for quick pint of mereti couldn’t believe how bad the pint was, certainly won’t be back, the manager needs to look as himself if he thinks that’s acceptable!!

Went there on our wedding anniversary could not fault it good meal. Steak night was very good. Good value for your money.
