The Fountain Head

ate here whilst staying at the Branscombe camp site , nice friendly pub, we booked before going on holiday and were sat out side which was fine, although we weren't told this would be the case as may have put on more clothing as it goes cool at night. M husband had the steak and chips and he enjoyed it , I had the fish and scallop dish which whilst tasty the portion was small and the veg was non existent , small amount of garlic mash and 4 green beans very over cooked , for what was served I didn't think it worth the £21 I paid.

Had evening dinner twice during our 4 days in Branscombe. Limited menu but excellent tasty food very fairly priced. Simple pub surroundings, good local beers, pleasant helpful staff, nice atmosphere , limited opening hours so recommend to phone and make reservations in advance.

After a 'difficult ' journey very narrow and winding roads, the pub/restaurant can be found between two roads. On one, the sign cannot be seen but OK on the other. Good selection of local beers and cider. We ate some plentiful and good food in...

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. Great, high quality food at a lovely traditional pub, which is run by very friendly and welcoming people.

Stopped on way through tiny village on cycling trip otherwise would never have found it. Beautiful village pub run by lovely people
