The Fox At Lyng

I went to the Fox on my own (well, with my dog), as a treat to myself, as my other half was playing golf and having his main meal elsewhere. The service was really friendly, wine was lovely, and my meal of chicken in parmsan crust was wonderful. I 'm lucky that I live within staggering distance, so no driving necessary. I 'm not in the habit of going to pubs on my own, but I 've done this in the Fox before and always had a friendly welcome, chatted with other guests and felt completely comfortable. I 'm not sure that I would feel that way in all pubs. The menu seemed more affordable too....I was impressed by the 'smaller appetites ' section, which seemed to include a burger and fries for a great price. Great for a light meal or a children 's meal that is more adult than usual. They do live music regularly, so I 'm intending to go along soon for that.

Had a fantastic meal we turned up last minute and was found a table and was made to feel very welcome. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The menu has a great selection for everyone including vegetarians . We thoroughly recommend and can’t wait to come back as we didn’t have room for dessert but they sounded so yummy!!!!

My wife and I called in this evening for a meal and it was amazingly good absolutely delicious one of the best meals out we have had in a long time , highly recommended

This is a great country pud, food is great, we'll worth a visit.
