I took a punt and dropped by The Green Man whilst staying at one of the airport hotels……and I’m very pleased that I did. The bar manager (Kinga) made me feel very welcome and pointed me towards the comprehensive menu and selection of real ales....Considering this place is close to a London airport, the beers/food prices are reassuringly good value without compromising on quality. A meal and 2 alcoholic drinks cost around £15….much less than my hotel wanted for just a main course. I thoroughly recommend the Green Man for families and those just looking for a small oasis of quality amongst the usual commercial nonsense that comes with a night close to an airport. Kinga and the team will look after you. PS great views of the landing aircraft too!
We booked a table for 7pm in the bar (dog friendly) to meet our daughter for drinks and food near Hatton Cross. We'd had an 8 hour journey and tired and hungry. Arrived and no table had been reserved and told we'd have to wait...for one to become available. Sat on high stools and waited 45 mins or so until 7.45 while unable to settle our dog. Gave up and decided to go for take-away fish and chips. Decided to visit the ladies before we left to find an Out of Order' sign on the outer door. Not a great start to our weekend and left with a very bad impression. Why accept a booking if it couldn't be done. Grudged the payment for those drinks.
we visited the green man not expect much from a small pub directly at the airport. at the arrival we were greeted and served by the beautiful mia, which made our visit five stars worthy from the beginning to finish a warm greeting and excellent knowledge and advise them what local beers are recommended by the pub. she served us with a smile and was able to answer all the questions we made as a whole our visit to remember that was nice and we will definitely come back. well made mia for a 5* visit!
beautiful dinner in the early evening for us and served by the lovely kinga, which was friendly and very helpful during our visit. our meal was very tasty, we will be a regular, we think.
