Expensive! Worth every penny! Unique flavors bringing together Hawaiian, Japanese, and Pacific Coastal flavors with some amazing Thai and Indian teases as well! Sushi Rolls can range from $8-$40+, ours was $27 and made our eyes roll back in our head with pleasure (of course we always order thin sliced jalapeno and lemon to put on each bite of sushi for that finish of perfection). I don't eat tartar sauce, theirs was so good I was dipping fries in it; ok and I took a little, mixed in some dragon-spit, yes it's hot, some guava glaze (request) and a little soy-sauce, all stirred for a perfect Thaipanese dipping sauce for the prawns. The amazing flavors of the peanut-curry chicken with mango and paper-thin vegetables were delicious with the perfectly cooked white rice and a thick and much lighter flavored macaroni salad (improved with jalapeno slices in my opinion). The massive mahi-mahi steak was fresh and fried perfectly with the right amount of crisp breading to a very nicely moist flakey fish nearly 3/4 inch thick. Their coleslaw with a bit of pineapple and some other fresh island flavors was on the opposite end of the spectrum from the thick and hearty creamy tan clam chowder with an almost Indian flair to it, not curry, but spices bringing a pleasant surprise to what can get fairly boring across so many Pacific Coast seafood restaurants. All of this was after the nice refreshing and unexpected starter of the best cucumber salad we have ever tasted! The perfect balance of sweet with the salty/tangy and the sesame seed finish left your mouth very ready for the next bite! We took plenty of left overs and will be eating there again; and taking others to enjoy it as well!
